Reckon x Represent Justice event: The power of owning your story

Over the coming weeks, Reckon, in collaboration with Represent Justice, will share a collection of short films that cover everything from the immigration-to-prison pipeline, prison labor, parole reform and so much more.

We’re kicking it all off with a Facebook Live conversation to hear directly from Represent Justice Ambassadors about their experiences creating these short films and why storytelling can be transformative.

To join in the conversation on Facebook, click here.

Join Reckon’s editor-in-chief R.L. Nave, along with Represent Justice ambassadors Andrew Hundley, Waleisah Wilson, Page Dukes and Shannon Ross as they discuss their work and how it aims to dismantle the criminal legal system across the U.S.

We hope you tap in to hear about just how deeply rooted mass incarceration is and how these systems have harmed the lives of not just the ambassadors but those still stuck against their will in the confines of courts, jails and prisons, surveillance and immigration.

Join us on Thursday Jan. 26 at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT) to hear a different story about incarceration and stay tuned as we introduce the film projects in the coming weeks.
